My aim is to help achieve success in school and in life as they define it. Whether it is help with particular assignments, developing a voice as a writer, managing time and getting work done, or developing and implementing general or specific strategies for learning, I am here to help you reach your goals.
Services
Individual Attention
I provide one-on-one guidance and support to students in grades 6-12 and beyond. I work with students, and their parents to develop personal action plans that incorporate accountability and are geared towards meeting the goals that students decide upon. Our work together is a partnership that will ultimately result in students feeling confident and ready to meet any challenge in school and life.
Flexible Scheduling
I am available to schedule meetings on zoom before and after school seven days a week throughout the year. If you are in New York City, I am available for in-person sessions.
Life Long Learning
The skills we develop in school we take with us throughout our lives. Planning, problem-solving, critical reading and writing and self-management are the learned life skills that everyone needs, regardless of the path they follow.
History
My Students
Every student I have taught has gone on to university. They have succeeded in all walks of life. Many are published authors, and work in creative fields like film and television. .
My Teaching
I have taught in numerous independent schools including Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School, Friends Seminary, and the Brearley School. I have taught History, Latin, and English to grades 6-12, and taught graduate students at Columbia University Teacher’s college

Over 24 years in the classroom I worked with over 1000 students. I have tutored for 15 years helping students with executive functioning, writing, time management, application preparation, and history and English.
